Ahhh... Europe... a continent with a cluster of some of the richest core countries in the world, beautiful architecture, and an overflowing fountain of history.
It is also home to the European Union, a supranational organization with a majority of the countries (excluding Switzerland, Norway, and many others) as members.

Many people dream of "returning to the homeland", whether to stay for life or just visit, and I am one of them. Since I was little I have dreamed to travel all over the world, I would flip through world atlases like they were storybooks, looking at demographic charts of populations and roadways. And now, I have my chance!

My Spanish II teacher, and leader of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica at my school, has established a date in the summer of 2013 (hopefully if we are still around, lol) to travel to Europe. This is amazing! We will be flying from the USA to London, where we will do site seeing and tours. After a few days, we will take the Channel Tunnel to France, where we will spend a few more days in Paris. After our fun in Paris, we will take a night train to Barcelona (To my teacher's somewhat disappointment, she really wanted to go to Madrid), where we will continue touring the sites, and then return home via plane.

The whole trip has totaled to be 10 to 12 days long. All students at our school can come, but she has asked the members of the SHH (which I am part of) to come along.

Finally, one of my dreams about to come true... but then to come crashing down the the unveiling of the price tag... over $3,100... (over £1,900).



So close, yet so far out of reach... so consulting with my mom, we have come up with a plan. Over this upcoming summer break, I will be doing babysitting and odd jobs out the wazoo.

This means possibly postponing stories (if I actually get hired )

Buuuuuut, this also could mean... the starting of a PayPal account? Don't know yet... maybe? I don't get requests very often (from people other than my friends)

But, if I can convince my mom, I could start a PayPal so I can earn some money actually doing something I like.
